A high-amplitude Delta Scuti pulsating variable with a rapid 2.5-hour period.
AE UMa was observed over six consecutive nights to construct a high-cadence light curve covering multiple complete pulsation cycles. The 0.6 magnitude amplitude and clean sinusoidal waveform make this an ideal target for demonstrating Delta Scuti variability. Photometric data were collected in Johnson V band with 30-second exposures, yielding excellent phase coverage and a period determination consistent with the AAVSO ephemeris to within 0.3 seconds.
